pre-alpha.0.5.0
This update focuses on various things to make combat more interesting, mainly by introducing attribute points behind the scenes. These will be exposed in the UI in a future update. The attributes are: strength, endurance, dexterity, intelligence, speed, and perception. These attributes will affect combat in various ways, such as determining the chance to hit, the damage done, and stuff like that. The calculations are not really balanced yet and will see a lot of changes and iterations in future updates.
This update also introduces ranged combat in the form of the shortbow item which can be equipped along with arrows. More types of ranged weaponry such as slings and various throwing weapons will be introduced in the future. Enemies still only support melee attack behavior, but they will also get ranged support in some future update.
