pre-alpha.0.9.3
Untitled Dungeon Crawler » Devlog
This update brings some improvements to enemy animations and sound effects, as well as various bug fixes and improvements. Full changelog below:
- Enemies may now have attack windup sounds as well as idle sounds. The dragon boar enemy has had such sounds added.
- Enemy sounds now use spatial 3D sound, such that enemies further away from the player party are less loud.
- Added character races, or well, race. For now, only the human race has been added. This is currently only displayed on the party management screen next to the class name and has no further effect on gameplay.
- Enemy idle animations are now triggered at random intervals, so groups of enemies standing idle are not animated in perfect sync.
- When consuming items outside of combat the information will now be displayed in the general log instead of the combat log.
- Added button to the bottom menu for pausing the game as an alternative to pressing ESC.
- Reworked how projectile attacks are handled a bit. This should fix a rare issue where ranged attacks would both register as a miss and a hit in the combat log.
- A fist icon will now be displayed in the combat action indicator box when a party member is unarmed instead of nothing being shown.
- Added a frame around the titles on the inventory screen and skill screen.
- Fixed the dragged item image sometimes briefly appearing in its last location when picking up items in the inventory.
- The next turn button is no longer visible after quitting to the main menu and starting the game again or after combat ends.
- Party formation indicators for dead party members that have become hidden will now become visible again when quitting to the main menu and starting the game again.
- Fixed softlock that would occur when trying to perform a ranged attack with no ammunition.
- It is no longer possible to spend attribute points to raise the base value of attributes above the soft cap of 100.
- Fixed issue where the range of party member's auto targeting collider would not update its range when changing equipped weapons.
- Fixed issue where the initiate combat button would disappear when exiting to the main menu while combat is active and returning to the game again.
- The plus buttons on skills should now be visible when opening the skill screen immediately after gaining a level.
